Yes, all of our repair/calibration has always been performed “in house”. We purchase all repair parts direct from the manufacture helps to keep pricing low.
Our current average turnaround time is 7-10 business days. Certain exceptions can be made for Rush service if discussed prior to sending in order. Obsolete generations and severely damaged tools may require additional time.
Our warranty period is 30 days from date of receipt. We will accept warranty claims for evaluation only when sent back with authorized RMA number which will be generated by our customer service dept.
We can provide a complete written quotation prior to proceeding when requested. Please keep in mind our repair services will not exceed 30-40% cost of new or less. We would never repair a tools if it would be considered uneconomical to repair (repair cost exceeds 50% cost of new). Lead time for repair work is reduced when quotations are not requested. We can also provide final costs prior to shipping when requested as opposed to written quotation up front. We reserve the right to charge an evaluation fee for tools which a repair quotation is denied.
All service work is calibrated to manufacturer specification prior to completion with NIST traceable masters. However, we do not provide written certification unless requested. We can provide NIST traceable short form certifications per tool for an additional charge when requested. We can also provide NIST traceable long form certifications when requested with pricing based on our current calibration price list.
If you tool is found to be uneconomical to repair, we will provide a quotation for exact replacement or best alternative when needed. If we find any value in your tools which cannot be serviced, we may offer to scrap out your tool in our facility for a dollar value you can use towards the cost of the purchase of new tools or repair service.
Ideal Precision Instrument Service is not ISO certified at this time. However, we are in full compliance with all the stringent requirements that an ISO certification requires. All of our masters used in calibration are NIST traceable. We do have a written quality manual are in the process of certification now.
